Updates for COVID-19: In-Person (Live Online) Courses

Due to the ongoing effects of COVID-19, we have transformed some of our in-person Executive Education programs to live online delivery. Courses currently scheduled to take place in person may also switch to live online instruction as start dates get closer. All live online courses fall under the same terms and conditions as in-person courses, outlined below.

PAYMENT

Prepayment is a requirement for enrolment, and your enrolment and space in the program is confirmed only after payment has been received. Payment is due on the date indicated in the invoice that you receive following admission.

Cancellations, Transfers & Refunds

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

AIM Education does not offer refunds except under two specific circumstances:

  1. COVID Related Travel: AIM Education will provide a full refund if the participant is unable to travel due to COVID restrictions to attend the course. Proper documentation from the appropriate government body will need to be submitted to AIM to receive a refund.

  2. Medical Reasons: AIM Education will provide a full refund if the participant cannot attend due to a medical condition (documentation of medical examination/evidence is required).

All notifications of withdrawals must be emailed to hello@academyforimplantmastery, and refunds are issued on the following schedule:

*Please note that all refunds are subject to a processing fee.

Transfers: Students are not permitted to defer their enrolment. Students wishing to enrol in another offering of the course must drop the course and reapply to a future course offering.

AIM Education reserves the right to cancel any program at any time. If a program is cancelled, AIM Education's liability is limited to a full refund of the program fee already paid.

AIM Education is not responsible for travel or related costs under any circumstances. Participants may want to consider purchasing trip cancellation insurance in the unlikely event that a program is cancelled or they cannot attend for personal or professional reasons.

TRANSFERS

One transfer to a subsequent program will be permitted within 12 months of the original program's start date, provided that there are seats available in the requested program. If the participant would like to transfer to a more expensive program, the participant will need to pay the difference between the cost of the original program and the subsequent program.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Courses require at least formal education in Dentistry (undergraduate and postgraduate training). AIM reserves the right to decline enrolment to any participant who we determine does not meet the professional requirements outlined for a specific course.

An AIM Education requirement for participants engaging in clinical procedures must have an up-to-date AHPRA registration (or equivalent) and no limitations on their registration. Moreover, current indemnity insurance including public liability is required.

INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPATION

While we strongly encourage global participation, please note that all courses are taught in English. Proficiency in written and spoken English is required. Individual courses may contain additional requirements.

RECORDING

Recording of any portion of a program may be initiated by the Instructor or an Administrator of AIM. Participants, students and visitors enrolled in AIM programs should be aware that programs may be recorded for any school or related educational purpose at any time during any program session. A participant may initiate recording only with the written permission of the Instructor or an authorized Administrator.

Participants who are attending courses which involve patient treatment need to supply a current AHPRA number and current insurance details.

PHOTO AND IMAGE PERMISSIONS

By completing this application and/or enrolling in the course, the participant gives permission to AIM to (i) take photographs, videos and/or any other types of recordings of the attendee during classes and activities associated with the program, and (ii) publish, distribute and display the photographs, videos and recordings (collectively, “Reproductions”) in any and all media including, without limitation, AIM websites, brochures, advertisements and other promotional materials. The participant hereby waives compensation and any right to inspect or approve any such uses, Reproductions or related materials. The participant hereby releases, discharges and agrees to hold AIM harmless from any liability arising out of AIM’s use of the Reproductions, including any blurring, distortion, alteration, optical illusion or use in composite form.

PARTICIPANT BEHAVIOUR

All participants agree to show respect for every member of the AIM community and refrain from all forms of intimidation, harassment, and acts of prejudice that infringe upon the rights of other members of the community. Participants also agree to conduct themselves as law-abiding members of both the AIM community and our broader society – including, but not limited to: a) refraining from behaviours that infringe upon the rights of others or disrupt the educational process, and b) acting in conformity with AIM policies and applicable law.

AIM reserves the right to remove from our courses and bar admission to future courses, events and programs participants who fail to act in accordance with the standards outlined above or who engage in intimidation, harassment, acts of prejudice or other disruptive behaviours.

PARTICIPANT AGREEMENT TO TERMS

By submitting any course application and/or enrolling in the course, the participant indicates that the participant has read and agreed to the terms of AIM registration policies.

The participant, in addition to the participant's sponsoring company (if applicable), agree to be responsible for and pay all fees. The participant certifies that all the information provided in connection with this application is authentic and accurate.

AIM reserves the right to update and change the Terms and Conditions by posting updates and changes to the AIM Education website.
